Founded in 1986, AVA-net adopted its current name in 1997 to express the nation-wide nature of its activities. We work in close collaboration with ALIVE.

Our aims are :

1. to work towards the abolition of animal experiments by disseminating information, and by pinpointing errors in the theoretical and scientific foundations.

2. to gradually ease the cruel suffering of laboratory animals, and to stop them being sacrificed needlessly.

3. to foster respect for all forms of life.
