In 1986, abolished collision experiments using monkeys. In 1991,
discontinued spinal damage experiments using dogs by national universities.
Abolishing selling dogs and cats for experimentation purposes
In 1990, rescued dogs left uncared after experiments at a national
hospital.
Protest against using wild animals for experiments
Starting in 1988, developing protesting actions against using wild
monkeys in Japan (Nihonzaru) for experiments.
Actions for the revision of Law Concerning the Protection and
Control of Animals
Starting in 1986, requesting the revision of Law Concerning the
Protection and Control of Animals, developing signature-collecting
campaign. Also lobbying diet members.
Holding photo exhibitions and distributing fliers nation-wide
Starting in 1988, holding photo exhibitions of animals for experimentation.
Causing a progressively greater sensation.
Lectures and gatherings
Repeatedly holding workshops on animal experiments and Law Concerning
the protection and control of animals. Holding lectures nation-wide
as well.
Promoting alternatives to animal experiments
Providing lectures at Japanese Society for Alternatives to Animal
Experiments in 1997 and 1998. Also introducing materials and videos
to promote alternative measures.
International exchanges
Starting in 1986, promoting information exchange and mutual support
with groups outside of Japan against animal experiments and for
the protection of animals.
